My pregnant sister-in-law who is due in April said I should have a baby next year. Again. But this time, she said I should because 2007 is the year of the golden pig.
I had never heard of it and was curious. She said the golden pig happens every several hundred years and supposively babies born in that year will be very wealthy. She then said one of her girlfriends is getting married next year and wants to be pregnant by the time of the wedding to make sure the baby is born next year.
Anyway, I just researched the golden pig and found very little useful information. But I did link one article in the headline of this posting. Seems like many scholars believe the golden pig is just hype. And I like that the article pointed out that only one person on the Forbest most richest list was even born in the year of a pig. That honor belongs to the founder of the clothing company, H&M.
Whatever happens, if we're lucky and do have a baby next year, we could have our very own golden piglet in 2007.
